Police last week arrested a 21-year-old New York man by warrant and charged him with first-degree criminal mischief.
The Bedford Corners man is accused of vandalizing a motor vehicle on Locust Avenue, causing $1,760 in damage, according to a police report.
At about 4:04 p.m. on March 17, police took a complaint of paint scratched off of the driver’s side of the car, with images of male genitalia and profanity written on its windows with cream or lotion, the report said.
Through an investigation, police were able to identify a suspect vehicle and its operator, obtaining a warrant for his arrest on the felony charge.
Police released the man on $2,000 bond and scheduled him to appear May 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
