Police arrested a 40-year-old New Canaan woman by warrant Wednesday and charged her with third-degree larceny.
At about 2:47 p.m. on Aug. 17, officers received a complaint from a business on Elm Street that $8,359.80 had been stolen, according to a police report.
Police investigated the matter and secured a warrant for the arrest of the East Hills Drive woman, who worked there, the report said.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, she turned herself in to New Canaan police on the warrant, it said.
She was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 25 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
