Police at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday arrested a 29-year-old Dorchester, Mass. man found asleep in the driving seat of a car parked at the Mobil Station with a half-empty bottle of champagne in his hand.
Officers were dispatched to the South Avenue location on a report of a man passed out or asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked there, according to police.
They found the man with the bottle in his hand, and saw marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.
The man passed field sobriety tests and was charged with drinking while driving. He also was cited for infraction-level marijuana offenses.
Police released the man after he promised to appear Oct. 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
