Joanne Scofield, 61, of Norwalk, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.
Born Dec. 20, 1952 in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Leah (Scimeca) Porricelli, and beloved wife of Ronald W. Scofield for 23 years.
A 1970 Norwalk High School graduate, she had worked as a hospice nurse and director for senior assisted living. Her family was the center of her life.
In addition to her loving husband, Joanne is survived by their children: Andrea Dinan and her husband Terry of New Canaan; Nicole Harvey of Stamford; Jenny Estrada and her husband Walter of Norwalk; R.J. Scofield of Norwalk; and Lisa Scofield of Milford.
She is also survived by her four cherished grandchildren: Gillian, Cooper, Ethan and Mason; her two brothers Larry Porricelli of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Frankie Porricelli of Lakeland, Fla., sister Carol Popkins and her husband Bruce of Norwalk, as well as nephews Casey and Shane Popkins and many other loved relatives and friends.
She also leaves her loving puppy Charlotte.
Her family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov 16. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17 at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk.
