Pacioretty Injured, Will Travel to Sochi

Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty left Saturday night’s game in the first period against the Carolina Hurricanes after a scary-looking collision with the net. Pacioretty was driving to the Hurricanes net and was ridden into the post by Carolina defenseman Brett Bellemore. After being attended to by the team’s medical staff on the ice for several, Pacioretty did not return to the game. A New Canaan High School Ram for one year before transferring to Taft in Watertown, Pacioretty assured reporters it was for precautionary reasons and that he should be good to go for the Olympics. “I went in pretty hard and I got the wind knocked out of me,” Pacioretty told NHL.com.
