Music @ New Canaan Library Presents Concert Pianist Liana Paniyeva

Free— Music @ New Canaan Library presents a rapturous evening of classical music with international concert pianist Liana Paniyeva performing pieces by Rachmaninoff and Mussorgsky, among other composers. The event takes place on Thursday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.
Liana Paniyeva is a concert pianist who has performed at international festivals in Norway, Hungary, and Syria, and played in the concert halls of Scotland, South Africa, and in many states in America. She has won prizes in piano competitions in Ukraine, Italy, and Israel. She won the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music; was the recipient of the Grand Prize at the Metropolitan International Piano Competition; and is the winner of the AFAF Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition. In 2013-2015, Ms. Paniyeva was awarded the E.B. Storrs Piano Scholarship from the Musical Club of Hartford. During the 2012-2013 season, she performed three times at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Liana currently resides in the Hartford area, and has an Artist Diploma from The Hartt School of the University of Hartford.
