Police on Friday evening arrested a 47-year-old New Canaan woman following a domestic dispute.
At about 3:51 p.m. on Dec. 21, officers were dispatched to a Lukes Wood Road home on a report of the dispute, involving two occupants there, police said.
Following an investigation, the woman was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.
It isn’t clear what the argument involved, whether or how the victim is related to the woman, whether it turned physical or how badly the victim was hurt.
Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person, among other reasons.
Under state law, a person is guilty of third-degree criminal mischief he or she “Intentionally or recklessly” either “damages tangible property of another” or “tampers with tangible property of another and thereby causes such property to be placed in danger of damage.”
Police released the woman after she promised to appear Dec. 24 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
